2012: The first ideas of the dream “Hometown Specialty” began to take shape with Van Don oysters. Known as the essence of the sea, milk oysters are high in protein, amino acids, zinc, and vitamins but have a distinctive fishy taste, soft and easy to crumble meat, posing challenges in processing into nutritious food for daily meals.
2014: Despite numerous difficulties, the aspiration and love for the homeland never ceased. Through perseverance, hundreds of experiments were conducted to eliminate the fishy taste using traditional Vietnamese spices and cooking technology. Finally, the project “Research on the technology of processing Pacific oysters into dried oysters, spiced oysters, and oyster spring rolls in Quang Ninh” succeeded under the name BAVABI – Treasures of the Sea.

local ingredients
Van Don, a mountainous island district in the southeast of Quang Ninh, is famous for its vast sea area containing more than 600 large and small islands and a rich source of seafood such as oysters, shrimp, squid, sandworms, and clams.
Phạm Hiền, a native of Van Don, cherished this seafood source and aspired to build hometown specialties from nature’s priceless gifts. In 2014, BAVABI was officially born, proudly named “Treasures of the Sea.”
Bavabi symbolizes the aspiration to bring Van Don’s specialties across the country and to the world, carrying the local identity and pride of Van Don’s people. Bavabi is not just a product but also the sincere smiles and simple joys of the people of Quang Ninh, sent to every customer.

BAVABI owns a large-scale oyster production and processing plant, ensuring to meet the market demand both domestically and internationally. The factory is built on an area of 8000 m², with a workshop scale of up to 3000 m².
1. Large-scale farming area: BAVABI manages 5 oyster farming areas covering over 400ha, strictly controlling natural conditions to ensure no pollution. All oyster seeds are provided and controlled by BAVABI, ensuring quality from the source.
2. Modern technology: BAVABI applies oyster floss processing technology and large-capacity sterilization technology, researched and cooperated with Japan, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality and food safety.
3. Large production capacity: BAVABI’s factory has an oyster production capacity of up to 50 tons/day and a finished product capacity of 60,000 jars/month, meeting the large market demand.
