Located next to the world natural heritage Ha Long Bay, the vast Bai Tu Long Bay (Quang Ninh) is also rich in potential that needs to be awakened for tourism development.
The high-class Ao Tien international port has opened a modern gateway to this bay, contributing to making Van Don a locality with the most diverse, synchronous and modern transport infrastructure in the province with an airport, highway and modern passenger port, promising a new attraction in the ancient trading port area.
Bai Tu Long Bay is endowed by nature with hundreds of large and small rocky and land islands with many unique natural habitats. In particular, there is also Bai Tu Long National Park, which possesses high biodiversity value and extremely unique landscapes.
However, tourism in Bai Tu Long Bay is assessed to have not developed commensurate with its potential. This is truly a big concern not only for local leaders, but also for businesses in the tourism and food service industry in general.
Understanding these things, BAVABI always thinks hard to find a direction for the homeland’s seafood through the application of advanced technology and modern machinery with the passion to come up with new solutions to create a breakthrough for the development of the approach to exploitation and production of Pacific oysters in particular and Quang Ninh seafood in general.
The event program of Launching new products combined with a discussion with the theme “AWAKENING THE CULINARY POTENTIAL OF BAI TU LONG BAY”, was successfully held on April 5, 2024 in Van Don, marking an important milestone in the journey of developing cuisine and tourism in Quang Ninh. The program was honored to welcome Mr. Truong Manh Hung, Secretary of Van Don district to attend and share useful information about policies and vision for developing Van Don tourism in the near future. According to the Secretary, in the next few years, Van Don will certainly not only be known as the capital of Pacific Oysters but will also be planned and developed into an extremely bustling tourism, cultural and social center, creating a great opportunity for industries in food processing, hotels, restaurants, etc.

Nearby The 200 guests attending the event, including investors, restaurant and hotel managers, and chefs, also had the opportunity to interact and learn from three famous and experienced chefs that BAVABI invited to be speakers at the Seminar: Chef Trinh Thi Thanh Dung, 15 years of experience, Executive Chef of Pan Pacific Hanoi, Chef Nguyen Van Quyet, Executive Sous Chef of Oakwood Ha Long Hotel and MasterChef Pham Tuan Hai. MasterCHef Pham Tuan Hai is a member of the Southeast Asian Chefs Association and was voted one of the 10 most famous chefs in Vietnam. Before becoming a judge on the MasterChef program, he had 27 years of experience as a chef at leading hotels in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and won the Golden Hand award organized by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
Within the framework of the event, guests also admired and enjoyed a buffet with a menu of 20 creative dishes made from extremely rich oyster ingredients that made diners amazed and admired. This is a breakthrough suggestion in building a new menu for chefs as well as restaurant and hotel managers to be able to “AWAKEN THE CULINARY POTENTIAL OF BAI TU LONG BAY” as the goal of the discussion and the wish of BAVABI.
