In 2014, Quang Ninh Seafood Production and Trading Company Limited was officially established. The company has boldly invested in a production facility on an area of 400m² in Dong Xa commune, Van Don district.
There is a modern machinery line here. It is possible to process raw seafood into products with the brand of Van Don land. For example: oyster essence, oyster floss, mussel floss, mantis shrimp floss, shrimp floss, fish floss, clam floss…

Each Bavabi product is selected from raw materials in the Bai Tu Long sea area. Carefully researched, creative, and skillfully bringing traditional Vietnamese flavors into the product. Ensuring that the precious values of the raw materials are still retained.

Developing sustainable Pacific Milk Oyster farming
Van Don There are about 3,300 hectares of aquaculture. Of which, about 2,400 are for mollusc farming. The main farming objects are oysters and clams.
The whole district has 1,250 aquaculture households. Of which, over 1,000 households raise clams and oysters with over 2,000 workers. The total oyster output of the district is capable of reaching 120,000 tons and increasing every year. In recent years, due to the rapid increase in output, Van Don oysters have always faced the situation of being forced to lower prices and lacking a market for consumption.
Therefore, Quang Ninh in general and Van Don district in particular are very interested in Van Don oysters. From establishing regional planning, oyster development planning, to a series of scientific projects. All aim to preserve and develop native oyster varieties, and build hatcheries. In addition, there is also support for Bavabi and units participating in international promotion programs.
However, a part of Van Don oyster output is still developing outside the planning. Mainly due to spontaneous production by fishermen. Most of the seeds are imported from Nam Dinh – Thai Binh. It is very difficult to determine the quality and origin. There is a lack of production facilities that meet export standards.
The problem now is that local authorities need to change the awareness of oyster farmers. Convert to environmentally friendly technology. Ensuring the quality of livestock as well as maintaining the purity of the seawater in Van Don in particular and Quang Ninh in general.

Building a complex for high-tech marine breeding and aquaculture
Bababi is implementing the project for a complex for high-tech marine breeding and aquaculture and concentrated seafood processing in Hai Ha district, Quang Ninh province. The project scale is about 230 hectares, with a total estimated investment of 400 billion VND.
With the goal of socio-economic development, creating jobs for fishermen, affirming the brand “Thai Binh Duong Van Don Milk Oyster”. This complex includes:
- Mechanical processing and construction center serving the seafood industry
- Food processing factory for shrimp farming and marine fish farming
- Processing factory for deep processing of products from oysters and marine fish, with high technology to extract oyster essence and high-value biological products.
- Seafood trading center to purchase and trade seafood that meets export standards.
- RAS technology fish farming areas…
Bavabi will soon build a pilot model in Van Don for people to see and learn and also cooperate with member enterprises of the VSA Association to combine farming and automation from farming to harvesting.
